About the venue

Located in the heart of Guildford for over 130 years, The Guildford Institute is a Grade II listed building rich with history.

We have five meeting rooms available which can accommodate small numbers through to 70 people. Easily accessible by public transport, we are a 10-minute walk from Guildford and London Road train stations and less than 5 minutes from the bus station. There are also several town centre car parks nearby and blue badge street parking directly outside our building. As a charity, we pride ourselves on providing affordable room hire. Our friendly team and variety of flexible spaces makes us a popular venue for meetings, events and functions. Each of our rooms are unique and full of character. Meet in our historic library with its floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, enjoy views of Guildford from our traditional sash windows, admire our feature fireplace and vaulted ceiling, amongst other period features. We have different refreshment options available to suit your needs: • V Café, our on-site vegetarian and vegan café, serving homemade lunches • In-room refreshments: Hot drinks, freshly made breakfast pastries and fruit and sandwich lunches • Function bar WiFi is available in each of our rooms, keeping you connected and able to deliver presentations. We also have a variety of additional equipment available including staging, a sound and lighting centre and hybrid meeting equipment. Our building is fully accessible with a level entrance, lift and washroom. We also have onsite baby changing facilities.
